“By the end of high school I was not of course an educated man, but I knew how to try to become one.” – Clifton Fadiman

This interview is only a small portion of the memories and lessons that Oliwier Borowski made and learned while in high school. Though this is not every moment that he enjoyed during high school hopefully the lessons spoken to and the values of hard work will help guide future Randolph Students.
The Interview: Class of 2016
Q: What was your favorite memory from Randolph High School or your time in Randolph in general?
"Always having Anna, Bud and Skip around to joke around with!"
Q: Were there any teachers that influenced you while you were in high school? Did they change how you thought or what you planned to do with your life after high school?
"Mr. Feld, Mr. P and Señora Roman."
Q: What activities were you a part of? How did doing those activities (clubs/sports/work/ect.) help you both in high school and out of high school?
"Wood shop and home improvements! Showed you how you can build almost anything you want with some time and effort! Also prepares you for home simple tasks around the house!"
Q: If you could tell your high school self one thing you know now what would it be? Why is it important to tell yourself that?
"Don’t fall for the “you need to go to college to be successful” phrase!"
Q: What lessons have you learned since graduating that you otherwise would not know?
"Hard work and dedication can get you anywhere you want to be in life."
Q: What advice would you give future generations going into high school?
"Listen to what all the older teachers have to say and then filter what you think will come in handy to remember in the future and leave the rest."
Interview notes:
There is no one set path in life and students as well as adults tend to forget that everyone has different ideas of what they wish to do. There is no correct way to succeed in life but as long as someone is willing to strive for what they want and take the time to get there, that is all that matters. Our lives are not bogged down in high school and there is so much we will experience afterwards if we allow ourselves to.
I would like to thank Oliwier Borowski for his responses to these interview questions. It is wonderful to see the lessons that have been learned and have helped him with his life after high school. These interviews truly mean a great deal to me and have allowed me to continue with this project. Thank you for the help in this project but also the help it will provide to future students.
